1. Who we are. SoloLedger ("we", "us") is operated by CardForge. By creating an account or paying for a subscription you agree to these terms.
2. What the service does. SoloLedger imports your transaction data, categorizes it, and produces estimates of self-employment tax and income tax, plus exportable summaries. We are not a licensed tax preparer, accountant, or law firm. All figures are estimates for planning purposes only and are not tax advice. You are responsible for reviewing any output with a qualified professional before filing.
3. Accounts. You must be at least 18 years old and provide accurate information. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account.
4. Subscriptions and billing. Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring monthly basis through our payment processor (Stripe). Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. A free trial, where offered, converts to a paid subscription at the end of the trial period unless cancelled before it ends. Prices are in US dollars and exclude any applicable taxes.
5. Cancellation and refunds. You may cancel at any time from your billing portal or by emailing us; cancellation stops future charges and access continues until the end of the paid period. Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy.
6. Acceptable use. You agree not to resell the service, reverse engineer it, upload unlawful content, attempt to access other users' data, or use the service to prepare fraudulent returns.
7. Your data. You own your transaction data. You grant us a limited licence to process it solely to provide the service. Our handling of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy.
8. Availability. We aim for high uptime but the service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We may modify or discontinue features with reasonable notice.
9. Limitation of liability. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including tax penalties, interest, or missed deductions arising from reliance on estimates.
10. Termination. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or that we are required to act on by law.
11. Changes. We may update these terms; material changes will be announced by email or in-product at least 14 days before they take effect.
12. Contact. Questions: support@sololedger.com.
